When Sean Proudlove turned eighteen his parents celebrated because they were no longer legally responsible for him anymore. Sean was then shipped off to Ottawa, where being in the right place at the right time allowed Sean to help conquer his fear of hot soapy water and taking orders. It was only a matter of time before Sean moved up the rankings and became an elite dishwasher. Being at the top was not for Sean as he is afraid of heights and gets vertigo then horizontago. Sean then headed back to the west coast and turned welfare recipient and thirty seven cheques and seventeen other shitty jobs later, Sean gave it all up to be a stand up comic. Sean was born in Victoria B.C and claims to be one tenth Indian. Sean wants to get his Indian native status card but can't because his grandmother hangs on to the family's so-called "dirty secret" and won't admit that our family is Indian. Grandma says "We are Mexican" but that has never been proved. No one in Sean's family likes spicy foods, sombreros or donkeys yet we all have a hatred for pale faces with cowboy hats on and a love of firewater.

Sean has been doing comedy for six years and has reached the point where he is never concerned what the audience thinks, feels or even writes on comment cards. Thus he has been branded with the unbookable label as a comic's comic; also while in prison he was considered an inmate's inmate.

Sean has mainly toured on the West Coast. Other comics have said he should go on tour across North America but they say that because they want to house sit for Sean while he is away. Sean used to be fat and now has a lot of quality fat jokes that don't work anymore, so Sean just uses these jokes when he makes fun of fat audience members who annoy him. So if you want to see a comic who has Funny Unique Comedy then you should see Sean Proudlove when he’s having a great set. Of course it would be better if you saw him more than once as some times Sean bombs, but when he bombs it's always the audience's fault as they were probably not listening or just stupid. Sean Proudlove recently recorded his Comedy Now Special in the Fall of 2007. He can also be seen regularly at comedy clubs in Vancouver BC. Catch him around town.
