Russell Barth is an amateur stand up comic in the Ottawa Region. He currently suffers from PTSD and Fibromyalgia and recently lodged a complaint with the Ontario Liquor License Act. Read more here: CBC article on Human Rights Violations with Smoking Ban.

Russell Barth has decided to lodge a complaint to the Ontario Human Rights Commission where he alleges that the Ontario Liquor License Act, which prohibits the consumption of controlled substances (any) in licensed areas, goes against Federal licensed patients who need Marijuana to live due to an illness. Russell suffers from Fibromyalgia and was prevented from smoking outside a comedy club in the Ottawa area. Russell claims his Human rights are violated as he can not smoke outside the club as the owners of the club would be violating his rights but have to follow the law of the Liquor License Act. Where this will go will remain to be seen but you can get updates from him monthly at several local comedy clubs in the Toronto region.
