Biography

Danny Mendlow lives in Vancouver and is a writer, producer, director and occasionally he will stand on an elevated platform and attempt to make strangers hate themselves as much as he hates them. Just as occasionally he will rap lyrics over mad beats. He's fairly gangster like that. Audience members tend to wonder how a homeless teenager snuck past the bouncers and is on stage when he performs. He cries himself to sleep most nights and thoroughly wishes he had been born a dog... or a tree maybe.

Over Two Million people have seen Danny's videos online. He has gained no respect and/or money from this achievement.

He is currently working on three major projects.

Two Awesome Years of Stand-Up, Sketch and Musical Comedy @ The Media Club and abroad with KYHU. Some highlights included "Todd Bertuzzi is Awesome/Crap" reaching over 40, 000 combined views on youtube and google video, filming our pilot on 35mm, my first and only headlining gigs, opening for Vic Lippucci on 2 minutes notice, hosting the infamous media club after party, seeing Cory Woodward play live and forming life long bonds with mind-blowingly creative and talented people.

Great Sets @ Yuk Yuks competition 2006/2008

Having a feature film developed with my real life persona as a main character and being recruited to co-write the script.

Jeremy Ryan Vs. The Lamplighter... the shit gigs we'll look back on some day and laugh at. All around just me and Jeremy helping each other grow as writers and comics.

Performing the infamous "Arnie Rap" and "The Phat Rap" with my cousin and comedic partner in crime Abe Sullivan, aka "Professor Funk the Fifth" on radio in Calgary thanks to DJ Kev, who we met at the river bend as we did front flips into shallow water. Good times.

Was one of three finalists in Comedy Network's GREAT IMPRESSIONS Contest in conjunction with Canadian Comedy Awards. [14]

Trivia

Danny went to G.P. Vanier high school on Vancouver Island, the same school as superstars Barry Pepper and Kim Cattrall. Pamela Anderson went to the rival school across town, Highland. A lot of mega superstars for a tiny town in British Columbia. Danny isn't as famous as these people, but if they are reading this because their narcissistic google alerts brought them here they should send him money. NOW!
